During a rally in Pennsylvania, gunfire looked to have struck former President Donald Trump in the ear.
There were multiple popping sounds as Trump grasped at the side of his face, causing blood to splatter across his cheek.
As Secret Service personnel hurried to the platform to whisk the former president away, he swiftly pumped a fist at the audience to reassure his fans he was not seriously hurt.
Donald Trump has been rushed off the stage after gunshots were heard as he addressed a crowd at a rally in Pennsylvania.
Secret Service agents dashed up to the former president and quickly removed him from the stage in Butler.
Mr Trump could be seen ducking for cover behind the lectern.
The former president was then driven quickly from the scene in an armoured vehicle.
