Two Foreigners Arrested in Connection with Cabo San Lucas Disappearance

Authorities in Baja California Sur have arrested two individuals, John and Katy, in connection with the disappearance of Mexican national Diego Gómez Lara, last seen on September 14 in Cabo San Lucas.

The suspects, both U.S. citizens with dual Mexican nationality, were apprehended on November 13 in Ensenada. They face charges of "Disappearance of a Person" and have been transferred to Cabo San Lucas, where a judge ruled on November 21 that they remain in custody as investigations continue.

The Baja California Sur Attorney General's Office has three months to finalize its investigation. Family members report that Gómez was last in contact while visiting the suspects' home in the El Tezal neighborhood.

Tensions escalated when relatives accused John and Katy of kidnapping after they fled their home, reportedly leaving their two young children behind. The children are now under the care of authorities.
