As of November 20th this year, La Paz will be directly connected to Los Angeles with a new flight operated by Alaska Airlines, offering two weekly frequencies. This exciting development was announced by Victor Manuel Castro Cosio, the Governor of Baja California Sur, during a press meeting.
The mayor of La Paz, Milena Quiroga Romero, was also in attendance. The governor emphasized the significance of this addition, noting that including Baja California Sur in the airline's destinations will boost tourism from the neighboring northern country and around the globe to this vibrant capital city.
The new flight route will initially operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Governor Victor Manuel Castro Cosio emphasized that this development is crucial not only for the tourism sector but also for the economic and social activities of the state.
He highlighted the importance of intensifying efforts to strengthen tourism in Baja California Sur, particularly in La Paz, noting that the tourism sector in La Paz requires significant improvement.
