SAN JOSÉ DEL CABO — The Los Cabos municipal government has announced its upcoming “Halloween Sport Fest,” a family-oriented celebration designed to combine physical activity, creativity, and community spirit. The event will take place on Friday, October 31, at the José Antonio Mijares Public Plaza in downtown San José del Cabo.
Organized by the Los Cabos Sports Institute (INDEM) in collaboration with the Municipal DIF System, the Youth Institute, and the Water Culture Program, the festival seeks to encourage residents of all ages to get active while strengthening family bonds and making better use of public spaces.
Festivities will kick off at 6:30 p.m. with a Family Fun Run, followed by a Costume Contest at 7:30 p.m. Participants will be recognized for their creativity, originality, and enthusiasm, transforming the town’s historic plaza into a vibrant Halloween gathering.
Mayor Christian Agúndez Gómez emphasized that events like the Halloween Sport Fest are part of the city’s ongoing commitment to promote wellness, sports, and inclusive community activities across Los Cabos.
“We want families to come together, enjoy our public spaces, and celebrate health and unity in a fun way,” the mayor said.
With music, costumes, and a dash of friendly competition, the evening promises to turn San José del Cabo’s plaza into the beating heart of community life — a celebration of movement, family, and the joy of being together.
