CABO SAN LUCAS, BCS, Mexico – June 19, 2024 – Authorities in Baja California Sur are investigating an armed robbery and shooting that left a 28-year-old man wounded Tuesday night in the El Tezal neighborhood.

The Incident: Around 9:44 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17th, two suspects robbed the victim on a street in El Tezal and shot him before fleeing.
The Victim: The man, originally from La Paz (the state capital), managed to get himself to Hospiten clinic for treatment. He sustained a single gunshot wound and required emergency surgery. His current condition is undisclosed.
Police Response: The State Attorney General's Office (PGJE) confirmed its Criminal Investigations agents and Forensic Services personnel responded immediately after being notified by the hospital. A full investigation – including fieldwork and evidence processing – is underway.
Status: The PGJE stated the investigation remains active and ongoing. Their primary focus is identifying and apprehending the two suspects responsible for the armed robbery and shooting to bring them before a judge.
