On Monday, someone reported discovering a body at the base of the Ladera Street stairs, prompting San Diego Police to be dispatched to Sunset Cliffs.
Around nine in the morning, someone called the area of Ladera Street and Sunset Cliffs Boulevard. According to San Diego Police Officer John Buttle, when authorities got there, they pronounced the victim dead and advised no further medical attention was required.
The circumstances of the death were unclear, SDPD Sgt. Dave Yu said.
The decedent’s identity was not immediately available.
