German travelers drawn by safety, luxury, and natural beauty of Los Cabos
LOS CABOS, Mexico — The skies between Europe and Baja California Sur are open once again. With the return of Condor Airlines’ nonstop Frankfurt–Los Cabos route, the state is strengthening its international connectivity and reaffirming its status as one of Mexico’s most desirable vacation destinations for European travelers.
The inaugural flight, which arrived on November 3, carried 285 passengers from Germany and other parts of Europe. The service will operate twice weekly, on Mondays and Fridays, through April 6, 2026, offering a consistent link between Germany’s financial capital and Mexico’s luxury beach haven at the southern tip of the Baja Peninsula.
According to Maribel Collins Sánchez, Baja California Sur’s Secretary of Tourism and Economy, the route’s revival is the result of coordinated efforts between the state government and the Los Cabos Tourism Trust (FITURCA). Their ongoing promotion in European markets has helped Los Cabos remain visible and attractive to high-spending international visitors.
“German travelers appreciate our destination for its safety, first-class hospitality, and connection with nature,” Collins said, noting that the previous season saw strong demand and record results for the Frankfurt–Los Cabos route.
The data back that up: the average German visitor spends around 10 days in Los Cabos and about $3,300 USD per trip, often booking through travel agencies or digital platforms more than three months in advance.
Tourism officials say the flight’s return underscores Baja California Sur’s commitment to expanding global air connectivity, diversifying its visitor base, and supporting local economic growth.
“Every new route is more than a flight — it’s an opportunity to strengthen ties between continents and bring greater prosperity to our communities,” Collins said.
